Method 1: Clear the Story Mode Finale (Free)
The free, in-game path: clear the final Story Mode mission "We Are Here" and watch the ending cinematic. Rising Deku unlocks once the credits sequence finishes. This is the intended way the developers designed the unlock — finishing the Final War campaign earns you the final form.
- Requirement: complete Story Mode through its final mission, "We Are Here."
- Trigger: the ending cinematic must play through — skipping it may matter, so let it run to be safe.
- Cost: free (just your time).
Method 2: Playable Character Early Unlock Pack ($2.99)
Don't want to wait? The Playable Character Early Unlock Pack ($2.99) unlocks Rising Deku immediately, no Story Mode progress required. This is a paid shortcut for players who want the final form in Team Up Mission or PvP from day one.
Method 3: Pre-Order Bonus
Rising Deku was also offered as a pre-order bonus for My Hero Academia: All's Justice (released February 6, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC). If you pre-ordered, check your DLC/entitlements — the character should already be available.
Who Else Unlocks This Way
- All For One Chaos — unlocks exactly the same way: clear "We Are Here" and watch the ending, or via the Early Unlock Pack.
- All For One Rewind — different rule: this one can only be earned by completing Story Mode. There is no paid shortcut.
